Plant Manager, Fergana

We are looking for a Plant Manager for the plant producing Hydrogen in the Fergana Region, Uzbekistan.

Our Industrial Gases business supports our clients by providing their essential gases via pipelines, tankers and packaged gas cylinders; each product manufactured from raw materials produced by large air separation and liquefier plants.

As our Plant Manager for HPU and PSA, you will

• Lead a team of 30.
• Ensure all operations activities are carried out according to Air Products Safety and Uzbek national EHS procedures, ensuring KPIs are met or exceeded.
• Understand commercial agreements associated with FOR and where applicable that project scope is aligned to deliver what’s required under the contracts.
• Establish good relationship with customers, suppliers and authorities to keep the image of the company at highest level.
• Apply a “Continuous Improvement” philosophy to daily work.
• Safeguard investments and supervise activities within plant boundaries and ensure all units are operated according to production schedules and that they comply with the highest possible standards of safety while ensuring that contractual commitments for product supply are adequately covered
• Monitor key equipment performances to detect, correct and/or report timely adverse trends.
• Prepare operating and execute on maintenance budgets and monitor all costs related to the running of the plant.
• Develop and implement AP management systems used to support facility safety (LOTO, BSP, Work Safety, MI), operational discipline (SWIM’s, eMOC, APSAM) and environmental compliance (CM), reporting (Event management and other).
• Conduct internal and external audits. Ensure compliance with company safety standards and national safety laws and regulations.

As the Plant Manager, you already are or have

• Engineering degree (chemical/technical)
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in chemical, steel making or petro-chemical industry.
• Manager experience running chemical, steel making or petro-chemical facilities (SMR experinece is an advantage)
• Knowledge and experience of budgeting, planning and cost management
• Demonstrated ability to work in matrix organization, across functional and reporting relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multi-function teams.
• Proven track record of good man management skills
• Flexibility in terms of changing priorities, workload and working hours
• Fluency in English and Russian, Uzbek will be advantage
• Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills across all levels (technical and non-technical)
