Summary

You’ll be joining a fast-paced development team working with a USA based company, building farm management software using the John Deere Operations Center (operationscenter.deere.com) and the Odoo ERP Framework (www.odoo.com). The Software Team’s first goal is to deploy a v1.0 system ready for launch.

Your Role

As part of the Software Team, you will be responsible for developing an Odoo-based set of integrations, connecting with John Deere’s Operations Center. Your responsibilities will include some (but not all) of the following:

• Craft Python modules in Odoo to sync with Operations Center
• Implement monitoring and deployment tools to ensure the system scales reliably
• Implementing and running automated tests to confirm data integrity and sync frequency
• Use Odoo’s web client (OWL) and geospatial libs (GeoPandas, Leaflet.js) to plot fields, zones, and machine tracks.

Requirements

• Ability to solve technical problems
• 2+ years writing production Python (3.8+); we are also hiring seniors (5+yrs) for this role at higher pay
• Ability to communicate in English: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent
• A learning attitude

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Odoo or similar ERP systems
• Knowledge of geospatial data and visualization
• Experience with any of the following: Docker, Webhooks, Kubernetes, GCP/AWS/Azure
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
• If you have experience managing and training others, we'll scale your responsibility and pay accordingly.
